Good day folks,

Ref: Logic Six panel

We fitted it to the wall and connected the battery to make sure all was well with it before completing the wiring. It went into alarm as expected but when the bottom cover was fitted and the key fob offered up to the panel, the sounder silenced and we saw an Error LED lit and all LEDS began scrolling across non-stop. All factory links were left untouched.

Is that normal as we have not used this model panel before. We wondered if all wiring needs to be completed before powering up. Our plan was to make sure the panel was correct before going to the trouble of making all the connections.

I wasn't able to post in the Alarms and CCTV forum for some reason.

Many thanks

think you need to phone their tech. help. it's basically an upgraded ade optima. the reset is to power down, link PA to set+ then power up. but i'd phone them first.

Panel ADE, when powered up error led will come on if tamper is present, make sure control panel cover is on. then use pre programmed keyfob to set the system back to day mode (power, day LED on)

Make sure your tamper / PA / SAB links are fitted forget the zones just now, then push the panel spring in until you hear the click then get your fob and pass it over the fob section twice

01268 563720. you got 2 digits transposed.

Update folks,

I finally reached Honeywell Tech Support on 01698 738200. I was told to remove the link from Zone 1, connect the left hand terminal of Zone 1 to set + , power up the panel and swipe the fob. Wait for single beep then power down.

Did all that ( twice, after first attempt made no difference to error LED.)

Panel still showing Error LED lit. Called them again and was taken through the steps again to ensure I had it right.

Result was Tech Support now say the panel is likely to be faulty as we cannot get the error LED to extinguish.

Looks like another trip to Birkenhead for an exchange panel.

Thanks to all for your input. It is much appreciated.

Best wishes,

T.
