Discuss Long SDS plus drill bits in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

Seems a split decision between cheap and expensive!

Struggling to find some Irwin sets but I've found some silverline ones which I'll try out. ÂŁ13 is the cheapest I've found for the 1000mm, ÂŁ29 for 1500mm sets so will see how they go.
Not tried their drill bits, but silverlineC, saw blades are not very good at all; far too soft (sourced from toolstation).

No mate toolman, yardley Birmingham. It's just off the motorway it's really cheap for top quality tools such as izzy knipex ck Bosch irwin Stanley estwing etc

I tend to buy cheap, sds bits and hole borers etc use on couple jobs then bin and replace and costing just goes into the job

Many many years ago I was a buy the best tool kinda guy
One day on a site I dropped my brand spanking new stanley tape down the cavity, next I drilled an hole with my fairly new top of the price charts auger bit,the chuck wasn't fully tight and as that sailed down the same cavity I came to the conclusion its beter to drop cheap and nasties down there than expensive clobber
