We are planning to do some home renovation, basically want to upgrade kitchen. So, removing the tile is the first task. Therefore, we need a hammer drill.

Yes, I love Dewalt as brand.

But I want to be certain about couple of things before buying one as I don’t want to drop big bucks and later regret. Although, I have done quite a bit of research on the web, still would love to hear from some experienced ones

Do I need a Rotary hammer drill for removing tile? Or, demolition hammer would be best suitable for this task

I also heard good results come when using Hammer Drill Chisel Bit

What should be the minimum amp? 5-7 amp enough?

I am kind of confused whether to go with brushless or brushed motors?

Any suggestions I would greatly appreciate, thanks.

A 2kg sds rotary hammer drill with roto stop (chisel only) function would be best...a demolition drill would be more suited to taking walls down or removing entire floors rather than just chipping tiles off. Invest in some good PPE like goggles and gloves as tile chippings can be like glass

Yes… bog standard dewalt from Screwfix would be fine. SDS chuck and rotary stop.
Get a wide blade chisel for it.

You can use it as a drill for rawlplugs afterwards.

+1 for the PPE
