Hi there guys im looking for an employer to start a career as an electrician, i have a place at pgl training in exeter but am finding it hard to get an employer if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated :)

The first question i will ask is, "what have you done to help yourself"?

If the answer is not a lot, or you have applied for advertised positions, then i would advise you to write a letter to 50 local companies (companies that you can get to by whatever transport means you have available) speculatively, explain what the type of job you are seeking, and enclose a CV.

You can get free help with drawing up your CV from your training provider or on the internet, this is especially important if you are young and have little or no work experience, and yes paper rounds and such like are important and need to be included on your CV.

Cheers..........Howard
