Hi Guys,

As the title says, I'm looking to wire up my shed and I'm wondering...

Haha only joking! Been lurking here for a while but finally decided to post - mainly to get rid of that annoying orange message on the main page!

No electrical qualifications, just a keen DIYer who knows his limits and when to get a professional in (more likely call my landlord!). I do have a background in telecoms and IT though, so there's a chance I may be able to help here! Always been interested in Electrics/Electronics, and generally taking stuff apart!

Really like the atmosphere here so far, find it amazing how people get so offended when they clearly don't have a clue what they're doing and are told as such. Hopefully they heed the advice to leave well alone but not holding my breath.

Anyway that's all from me. Happy 2015 everyone!

JG

Welcome.

I like your style and yes, a lot of people don't like being told the truth!

I was more worried about being staked by my own earth rod (I was obviously going to TT it!).

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Nothing like a Friday night.......Cold can of beer in one hand and a hot keyboard in the other , and see the sparks fly....:ack2:

cold beer my arse. i prefer to taste beer, not freeze my stomach lining. 10deg.C, or 52F in real terms.
