Hi, had rewire, but didn't spec landing light that could be switched off from downstairs etc doh. Sparky said it's an easy thing to do, but will need to use wago boxes as he said no way to get all cables in back box even though they are deep ones. Mrs wants double gang, ie can switch both lights (landing and hall) off from both downstairs and upstairs. Said best option, whack a wago junction box in attic, floorboards. Sounds right... is it?

It does; Downstairs, in the "usual" position, but no 2 light lighting for the hall at the landing position; afaik it's never been "standard" to be able to control hall lights from the landing?

Argh I see; don't think thats what your opening post said?

As @telectrix said, you could consider some alternatives to altering the newly installed wiring.

re-reading the OP. seems that Mrs.Danny wsants both hall and landing to be switchable from both down and up.

Thats just because Mrs Danny (no offence meant) forgets she's left hall light on, after she's climbed the stairs. The answer is, be a bit more switched on; see what I did there. :)
