hi guys,,pardon me if i sound stupid but what is the procedure involved in doing a loop check on a circuit that is not live:rolleyes:

That could be an R1+R2 continuity test or even ring continuity, which is it?

GN3 page 36

I take it you are asking about continuity of ring final cct conductors as you say not live tests.

All of the good books re testing & inspection cover this and more.

Also try the Testing & Inspection forum of this site and you will be surprised.

Alot of people have put alot of detailed info re this subject on the forum and it is well worth a look, you never know it just might teach you something or remind you of something that you forgot.

Never think you are stupid asking a question as we all have to ask at sometime in our lives and IMO that what his forum is all about.

Hope this is of some help gilligan.
