I see quite a lot of posts about doing loop tests and RCDs tripping as a result. There is a simple way described in Christopher Kitcher's Practical Guide to Inspection,Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations second edition page 85 whereby you can use a high current loop tester on an RCD protected circuit without tripping it or having to link out the RCD.I won't say what it is in case I infringe copyright.Perhaps its already well known but I thought I would mention it.
