Good evening all

i have a elderly client that has asked me to supply and fit a loud doorbell which she can hear from anywhere In the house as she is hard of hearing.

I've searched the net and unable to find something that will do the job. Dome door bells keep coming up but customers not happy with this.

What do you do when you are asked to fit a loud bell for any one?

I have a Marshall 100W amp and 4 x 12 speaker cab for sale. I'm sure you could rig it up to a door bell quite easily. Alternatively, get one of them wireless, battery operated doorbells and get them to wear the sounder round their neck on a bit of string.

Thanks for your input Jc but don't think client would be to happy with that set up.

Im looking for something like a servants bell that would work with a push button

Hi Mate You can get "silent bells" which flicker the lights, not sure how it works or where to get one But I fitted one for guys who's hearing was a bi dodgy he was well pleased honest

Thanks for both suggestions

wireless bells are ****e as they already have that and not very reliable.

flickering lights sound like a good idea but would probably suit people that can't hear at all as they have no other choice. Although I will keep that in mind. Would be interested to see how they are fitted

Damn! Thought I was gonna be the hero with this suggestion but got beaten by 3 minutes or so.

Edit: 7 mins.

sound bomb., but needs a 12V PSU with back up battery, use a relay to trigger sounder.

The local council will either install the system that makes the lights flash or tell you where to get them from
easy to install so that when the door bell is pushed all the lights in the house flash but a bit useless if the lights are off and it confuses PIR,s
