Hi guys, I've just done a job where i've installed some gu10 spot lights in a bathroom (to the clients specification) they are now saying that the 50w lights are to bright. I've tried to talk them into LEDs but they dont like em as they are to pricey. Are there any other lower wattage cheaper lamps out there? Is 28w the lowest there is for halogens?

compact cfl lamps are another option with gu10 but they can sit proud of the shallow models and have a warm up time; not the best for bathrooms, if 50 watts are too bright why dont you fit 35watt instead, cheapest option as wont cost much to replace and see if they are happy, if not you havnt spent loads, tescos for some cheap crappy ones just to check if they will do the job our local tescos was flogging gu10's for 50p recently but dont expect high quality or reliability
