Can anyone give me a break down what this card includes and where you can actually work with this?

Is this the new LUL?

Thanks

It combines the old LUL Entry Permit, LUL Fire Core and Metronet Alliance Passport to Safety into a new LUL card. The LUA-CAS Entry Permit.
Its now with a chip, abit like your debit card which you swipe in and out at each station. They say its to keep track on when it expires but to be honest its to see if your doubling up and then they can take it off of you!!! My opinion of course!

It lasts for 3 years and you have to have it renewed after the 1st year which is a case of turn up and re-swipe to validate it [apparantly].

Ive just taken mine yeserday at Aitkins, Vauxhall. Their LUA-CAS gets you entry into all LUL stations were the Tubelines card doesnt get you entry into every station. Not sure how true this is though.

I paid just shy of ÂŁ200 - Not sure what the rates are for who you go with but mine was last minute and I needed it ASAP as my previous LUL EP expires tomorrow and I only realised on Thursday last week!!!!

Yes i done mine on Monday. Thanks for explaining that all, much appreciated. They was telling us there going to fade lul cards out and your only aloud the lua-cas cards. I paid 120 but book mine bit in advance. I think there trying to clamp down on the doubling up aswell. Im still struggling to get a start on the underground, Are you on there through agency or direct?

I go direct or through an agency. Just depends who calls and where the work is at the time. In all fairness I havent had anything since Xmas. Ive been offered ALOT of 12 hr Sat and Sun shifts but have turned them down.
Money isnt as great as it used to be due to the recession.....ÂŁ210 for 12 hrs was the last I was quoted.

How long is your LUA-CAS valid for and did you take it at Tubelines, Stratford or Aitkins, Vauxhall?

All I can suggest is keep trying the agencies. Things seem to be picking up around Mile End and Warren St stations and I know Heathrow is due to start or has started.

Be warned though, if what I hear is correct you will be made to be on site at 10pm and leave at 6am. LUL will want to see where their 8 hrs pay is going even if its just bums on seats in a site office. I think the days of 0000 - 0400 engineering shifts may well start fading out.

Hope this is of some help.
