Hi all,

I'm currently on a project in a new build school and we are installing 2 x luxomat pir detectors (master and slave) in the classrooms.

The instructions are ridiculously complicated with lots of terminals (2x L 2x N, 2x NO 1x S) they also have a inbuilt relay.

We're wiring the lights off theFLEX7 connector system and I just cannot get these things to work.

Has anyone ever used the detectors before or have any info on where to get diagrams?

Thank you in advance

The wiring diagrams are here http://www.luxomat.com/en/pdf/en/Schaltbild_GB.pdf

I do not know this product at all, but assuming you only need the slave to extend the detection period, then just follow the wiring diagrams on page 7.
The diagrams get ever more complex if you add other stuff but I think your requirement is very simple. As is the wiring diagram.

IMO, you shouldn't be doing electrical work in a school if you cannot follow those relatively simple diagrams.Get a competent electrician if you can't understand it!

And you really shouldn't make accusations based on you posting the wiring instructions for the wrong pir.

Does that one have a built in relay? No.
Do you know what you're talking about as you just said you've never used those? No.

So keep your judgements to yourself you clown

I would suggest you provide details of the PIR you are using so that a reasonable response can be provided.
The logical answer is that the L terminals are for the live supply, the N terminals are for all the neutrals (in and out), the NO terminals are for the switched line feed to the lamps.
If you do not have an R terminal then I would expect that the slave units cannot be connected normally.
