LV circuts above 500v

could someone explain what LV circuts above 500v is please no ive worked with 24v 50v 110v 230v 400v but cant understand what it means your help please

Low voltage may be up to 1000 volt
The supply industry state medium voltage at 1-35 KV
Cable and fuse manufacturers start at 600 ish

des i understand that but ive not come acrooss another voltage over 500v and under 1000v so cant understand were the books state this

It's just a voltage band nothing more nothing less!! lol!! Rules and regulations changes with each voltage band. BS 7671 basically covers/relates to the ELV and LV bands. There are still many different voltages within the LV band in industry, above your 400/415 experience. 480V and 550V being just two that come straight to mind...

Some of the refineries I have worked on use 690v, which is the harmonised 715v.
I think it just enable smaller cable sizes, less volt drop etc.

And popular ere in sunny somerset is 480v split phase (of course now 460v), mainly used for remote locations i.e. farms to avoid taking all three phases in HV,

Ok fur shout lads I've never come across or worked on anything above 400v and to be honest wasn't aware there was anything above it bar HV
