Hi i have been asked by a client to install an internal maglocks system to double doors in a university they have asked for a push release button one side and a standard keypad the other side but also a remote release button behind a counter around 10 mtrs form the door, my queries are would i need to maglocks to each door or just one maglock and the other door is locked, is there anywhere on line showing prices for this equipment for me to quote and does this need to be linked to the fire alarm to realease when sounded as they have asked for it not to be but not sure if they would be allowed to be fitted without.

hope someone can help thanks in advance.

Just Google Maglocks or Dorr Entry systems & should give you plenty to read. If the Doors would need to be used for an escape route in the event of a fire then yes they should automatically unlock on Alarm activation.

try these, you only need 1 mag if the other is always locked, tho price for 2 and give them the option,id price for running a cable to the fire panel as well more than likely they will want it to drop off on fire activation
