Main bonding to gas and water

Hi all,

Simple question.

Can you do any work to an existing installation if there is no bonding to water and gas in place back to met?

simple answer no .............regulation 131.8.

Though they may not be bonded if they were non metallic services, so you should check.

Thanks as always - the reason why i posted this is as alot of the places i have done work on recently seem to have had additions and the bonding not sorted first. Mostly it seems because of routing. But then it only adds to the price for the job.

Makes you wonder which "trade" has been doing the work!
