Just a quickie, my books in the car and feeling lazy.

Main earth to gas incomer, am I right in thinking this has to be one solid peice and can't be joined?
I have one that has been cut of by somone:rolleyes:, and its about 50mm too short to reconnect, nothing left to pull through either, so it will either need a peice Joining in, or replacing the length of it (PIA).

Don't forget to heatshrink over the crimp. I checked this with the NIC a while ago and a crimp joint is a permanent repair so becomes an integral part of the cable, but you need the heat shrink to return the cable to it's original condition ie insulated.

apologies, yes the main protective bond, please feel free to slap my wrong definitions (usually get it right!!).
Crimp it is, wouldn't dream of using a crimp without heatshrink, but thanks for the tip..
