I have a tns system but the main incomming earth is not a16mm, only just 6 metal strands of wire and not even insulated either. But for nic assessment should i just note and report this on certs,or see if i could it sorted out first.Last inspection was done july08, but i feel this should have been corrected before any checks or tests carried out.

thanks

If this is a true TNS system with lead incommer, make sure the clamp around the lead is not an earth clamp.

The DNO use specific clamps for this to attach your main earth to.

If this is all ok then yes, i would upgrade to 16mm.
