hi first time poster. can anyone give me some advice on wiring in cavitys? i have a mains change as part of my niceic assessment with 16mm tails in the cavity. i want to replace with 25mm but not sure what to do as customer wont have tails any other way. am i being over picky?

I will stand corrected, but I'm sure there are no regulations stating that you can not place cables in cavities, the problem lies in being able to supprt a cable once it enters the cavity. for example, you can't drop a twin and earth down the cavity from the loft and pick it up on the ground floor somewhere because of the force that will exist on the cable at the top of the drop.
I cannot see any problem in putting tails down the cavity for the short distance it will be in the cavity. I've just done it for my last inspection and it was never questioned.
