Because I had a background in electronics the school put me on a PAT Testing course.
I have been trained to do PAT Testing for the school and I have done about thirty class one computers some with monitor and base/tower and others that come complete with the tower built into the back of the monitor.
I test the IEC leads first with readings of 0.05 approx and greater than 299 ohms then connect them to the computer and tester and do a 25amp earth bond test along with the insulation test and found two computers to be over the 0.10 limit on the bond test which I then repeated the test in two more places but still with the high reading. normal results for this test have been in the region of 0.1 to 0.15 so when I subtract the IEC cable reading it is under the limit of 0.1 is this correct or should I be doing another test on computers? i.e. a 200mA bond test?
