You bought a clothes peg for work gear????

It's been raining here in Wales all day and I've been out in it burying an SWA cable to replace a 2.5mm T+E run in a duct that has developed a L-E short (cable stuck fast and duct full of water). Had to venture into the void under a mobile home... spiders! EWWWWWW!

I was under there at 1am this morning after I got called out... strangely didn't seem quite so bad then... possibly because I couldn't see them all. Didn't kill them, just prodded the big buggers with a stick and sent them packing :)

Based on size... a fly would have been an appetiser... a jack russell would probably have worked though... or a cat :D

Don't like 'em... 8 legs... it's just wrong!

8 legs? are you sure they weren't octopusses?

My mate when in Aus years back got into his car and was driving down the road as it was sunny he pulled the sun visor down and a Huntsman Spider fell in to his lap while trying to get off him he decided to off road the car, lucky he was in the middle of no where......

Just for you SparkyChick......

I wore a pair of those daft socks this week, whilst out walking the dog. Got stung by nettles and bitten on the ankle by something. Trousers & those socks suggested by SWD for me now.

Like you're style, with the beer etc. Well beers not that great, but better than a steaming hot cup of tea. Wot else is going on the table? Is that radio tuned to Radio 2?

The beer is on offer though and I couldn't turn it down! It's on absolute classic rock, can't take the risk of Chris Evans coming through my radio on radio 2 I can't stand the man

They look great on you. The lack of leg fuzz helps. Does it take you long to wax?
I feel your pain. I was in a garden this week in chilcompton nr bath putting some flex on a wall for some lights. Behind the pots and in corners there were false widows everywhere. Somerset is full of them this time of year. Put me gloves on in case of a bite!

normally i select beer @ 5% or more. on a hot day, 4% will just about hit the spot, just for rehydration. then again, proper cider 7%@ 2 degrees C gives a decent buzz.

Arrgh Special Brew. That was me Father-in-Laws fav, God bless his sole. In his prime, he could handle about 8 cans. In his last years, it was one or two cans. He would pick em up from the chiller in his corner store, and put em in some warm water at home. He couldn't stand cold beers!

He died at 46?

He died at 46?

He smoked like chimney & drank like a fish. One of the first times I called round her indoors parents house, he was lying facedown in the front garden amongst the daffodils ----ed as fart, after failing to negotiate the front gate.

Reverted to roll ups in final years. Past away at 82. Knew him longer than me own father.

You must be in the wrong part of Wales. I was sat in the sun most of the day watching the new koi we have just topped our pond up with.

I'm based between Newport and Cardiff, and was working in St. Brides on the coast road. It was miserable all day.

Not far from me, Pontypridd. We went to Caerphilly garden center in the morning and then spent all afternoon in the garden watching our new fish. The rain is making up for lost time today though :(
