in determining Maximum Demand and Diversity may be applied, which is
a. Taking the sum of protective devices from any CCU
b. Taking into account that not all loads will be switched on at the same time
c. Taking into account that all loads doubtless will be engaged simultaneously
d. Ensuring that an economical and reliable design preference is utilised.

the problem with answer 'B' is that all loads may or may not be on at the same time depending on the installation etc.

the 'maximum demand' could equal the 'total connected load' in some cases:)

I put this up as this question was given to a number of people and about 70% said the answer was B out of head but when read reg 311.1 were unsure how to answer.

Its been said that both are correct I wonder what the answer to that is

I've been revising for my 17th in a week, I have the lecsoft 2382-12 sim and have just had this question. I answered D and the correct answer is B. According to 311.1 economic and reliable design helped me choose D really. What gives?

Don't worry about it. I reckon they put in these sort of questions just to make sure you don't get 100% in the exam. Given that you are the only person who gets to know your pass mark, who cares? ;)

but he has to know where to read. then again, i passed it with the onset of senile dementia kicking in, so it can't be too difficult.
