Hi, just wondering if im doing this right...

fitted a new board in my house, is this right for diversity?

Shower 40A 7.5KW - 32A
Sockets 32A 100% - 32A
Sockets 16A 40% - 6.4A
Boiler 16A 100% 3A (3A fuse in spur, or do i use 16A?)
Smoke 6A No Diversity 6A?
Lights 6A 66% - 3.96A
Lights 6A 66% - 3.92 A

Total - 87.32A

do i use 40% of total 34A?

been a few years since i done this at college!

thanks.

As a rule of thumb, add up all but the largest circuit breakers, multiply by 0.4 then add on the largest.

So.....(32+16+16+6+6+6) x 0.4 + 40 = 72.8A

Thanks for that JUD, bit of a problem as there is only a 60A main fuse,

i know the house wont use more than that in reality but whats the correct way to go about it? have it upgraded to 80A?

cheers
