Max height of a spotlight

in the building regs is there anything that states the maximum height of a spot light as the arcutect on a build has stated that i have to put a spotlight at 6 meters heigh
now surely for mantanance this is not allowed

can you access it with scaffold/ladders ect?

is this commercial/domestic ect?

obviouly its not so much of a problem to get MEWPS/scoaffolds in a large shop/warehouse but mayber a problem in someones house

ITs in a domestic property over a staircase
and will be verry hard to access with a ladder

could it be accessed from the loft? my mother in law has downlights above her stairs, and you cant reach them, i change her lamps by pushing the light downwards, and then putting hand through hole. These are large downlights though.

i've came across that few times on large houses alright-where a spot at top of the landing is hard to access later

dunno what the rules are -don't use halogen bulbs if possible anyhow

i usually try to change from the drawing to make them accessible
