What is the maximum length you can have of Schuco rail before you need a sliding rather than a fixed rail connector? I am sure I have seen it before in one of the manuals but cannot find it now. Thanks
Regards
Bruce

on page 12 of the MSE210 on-roof planning guide, it shows for four rails, the three joints should in - sliding joint, fixed joint, sliding joint. The sliding joints should have a 20-30mm gap between them.

remember that they are not structural joints ... just alignment joints.

There is no such diagram on page 12 of the on-roof planning guide, but I think I found the one you meant in the on-roof installation manual at page 12. I infer from that diagram that 2 full size rails fixed is OK but no more (ie just over 12m)

I still have a recollection that it states that somewhere in words.

Regards
Bruce

Yes I think it is:

"Ensure that "sliding" mounting rail joints (the
connecting element is only fi xed using one screw) are
always alternated with "butt joint" connections ....."

In other words maximum length fixed is 2 full rails
Thanks all
