Would these 2 MCB Lock offs suffice for Domestic boards including Old Rewireable on Main Switch? I know they would be OK for Main Switches & MCBs as have used them on L3 Course but am wondering if I can still use the thumbwheel one for 3036 boards...
Cheers

Your best bet is to get a grip type one, like the first picture. The ones with a little bit of wire each side will work on most wylex, crabtree, merlin gerin etc which have two little holes either side of the switch, but won't work on most square d, mem, MK etc and most main switches and isloators.

If you can get both, do, but the grip type one will work on more brands as it literally locks onto the switch rather than needing special sizes/holes etc.

The 'MCB Toggle Lock' - brass thing about half way down the MCB lockouts page - that's the one you want. Works on pretty much anything.

Insulation tape will cost u dearly in the long run when your nicEic select ect inspector fails you for it and if the HSE issue a prohibition notice

Strange, on my first and second inspections, when taking the CU cover off, I asked "do you want me to do safe isolation?" "do you usually?" he replied, "no" I said, "neither do I" said the inspector, and so I simply switched the old girl off as usual, no lock off kit required!!
