Bang test not fine, he say bang test make small switch next to big switch go mini bang?

No, if you have test result of bang-bang then your board is chitty?

And with 13 years experience you would have thought that this would be water off a ducks back.

LOL - have a look back through the OP's posts list.....doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence!!!

Oh look, someone's come on our forum looking for help, but they dont know the correct terminology or questions to ask, I know, lets take the mick, that will help. Not.

No; someone had come onto the board asking firstly questions about some 'big house rewire' followed by questions on 'how to move a consumer unit' followed by 'it's all gone wrong and I'm in the ---- with the customer'.

That isn't an issue of not knowing terminology (that happens to us all occasionally, it's a big world of electrickery out there), it's an issue of being under-trained and incompetent and thinking that Google can make the world a safer place by coming somewhere like here and posting questions to people who ARE competent.

The OP deserves the contempt he gets.

The original post is nonsensical. He got what he deserved, a ribbing. Happy to help but you have to understand the question first?

If had asked...
New domestic installation, I've fitted the CU and energised after inspecting and testing the whole installation. Weirdly 1 sole MCB keeps doing xyz when the main switch is turned on and off and I'm at a loss to understand why. Here's my test results... Please could someone offer some advice?

First off, we'd have understood what was being asked and secondly he'd have got positive replies?

First off, we'd have understood what was being asked and secondly he'd have got positive replies? And thirdly, would have demonstrated some competence and understanding of the basics.

:75: :nopity:

If he was fully trained and competent I dont think he'd be on here asking for advice, do you.

Ergo, if he ISN'T trained and competent, what the hell is he doing in someone's house charging them money for being a chancer??!!
