MCS admin software

I'm only aware of Paperclip which tries to keep all MCS data in order but the recent update has left me wondering if anyone has a more robust solution or are the rest of you doing it with a custom in-house mix of database and spreadsheet?

we've got our own in house systems for managing all the data we need to manage to run the company, which mostly complies with MCS... we just review it and update any bits that aren't fully sorted the day before our MCS assessment each year.

I think the bit we miss out on the most is at document tracking system, but really life's too short - we use google docs, google is the search king, therefore having a document trying to keep track of constantly changing files is a wee bit pointless. My hard copy documents are all located on the shelves in files, I don't need a spreadsheet to tell me they're filed on the shelves.

Spreadsheets and Dropbox mainly. Very little paperwork actually. Any paperwork we receive gets scanned into its folder except receipts from Screwfix etc and bank statements.

I might be a bit old skool, in that we have a paper copy of everything on file, as well as copies in the cloud thanks to google, and on a central file store in the office, and occasional back ups.

It probably helps that we inherited a couple of dozen filing cabinets.
