aha, my thoughts are that we'd best get our MCS certification sorted for all other technologies we're interested in before 16th March 2014, as we can avoid this nonsense until 2017, and by then even our apprentice will qualify via the experienced worker route.

Actually we probably would be ok anyway as apart from anything else, our core team would all qualify via the 3 year experienced worker route anyway.

I take on any and all roles myself as a micro-company, pulling in a few tradesmen (mainly from a local builder) over the course of a year for support on particular jobs. I cannot see that model working easily for new entrants - just too many courses to complete. I have done some Biomass training and had better get on with getting my first job under my belt!
