would people class a boxing in with cable clipped side by side running 2.3M as requiring install methob B

if so what would be the length this would not be needed
 
For current carrying capacity it would be method B. Enclosed on a wall or in trunking. The length dose not matter, worse case situation for any length of your cable run.
