Hi my name is Peter
I am an electrician from Arizona
How do I transfer my hours to uk

Hi Peter,

Are you in the UK at the moment, or are you looking to come over sometime soon?

A good starting place would be to contact NARIC in the UK see here: UK NARIC - Home

They can provide a comparison service for non UK qualifications against UK qualifications. That would be a good jumping off point I think.

Additionally, I would suggest that you look around the following website: The Institution of Engineering and Technology - The IET they publish the UK wiring regulations, and therefore that is a good resource tool.

Furthermore, I did a similar thing when I was looking at overseas, and I would suggest that you research the two following items: 'Sydney Accord', and the 'Washington Accord'. When i got these, I was able to work in the countries that subscribe to these accords...US and UK both do amongst lots of others.
