Hi Mac,

Had a similar problem with a works MFT 1553 last year, checked batteries and replaced for new ones but it was still the same, so checked the fuse and noticed the fuse carrier was quite loose around the fuse (correct fuse was inserted), so tightened it by squeezing with long nose pliers and put fuse back in and checked it against the calibration checkbox and log and all was good, was working flawless until apprentice blew the fuse a few months later !

Guy says hes fixing it for 75 so not the end of the world lol

Just wish it was mine and not someone elses, why couldnt the job havr waited till today is my fluke 1652 c has just arrived ....
