Evening All!
Been playing with my new Megger 1553. Apparenty its auto RCD, Could anyone tell me exactly how that works? I used the socket adapter, once plugged in it came up test 1 >1999 then t2 was 23.6 but i cant see how you do the X5 test, i closed the rcd with the meter connected and it came up t3 14.0, is this the X5?
Sorry if this sounds stupid but its my first time using a megger!

Cheers

Rob

Select the auto test on the meter and stand next to the CU. Everytime the RCD trips just reset it. Providing the tests are satisfcatory it will automatically continue to the next test IE x1/2 x1 x5. When it's complete you should have all your readings on the meter.

It saves walking back and forth the CU every time. HTH!

Yes, 1st test (x 1/2) was >1999, test 2 (x1) was 23.6 and test 2 (x5) was 14.0

It'll do x1 and x5 at 0 and 180. When they've finished the first result will be back on the display. You can then use the blue button to step through the results afterwards.
