Hi my house has a memera 2000 fuse box. The kind which still requires fuses to be placed in it. Recently it has been tripping on a regular basis every couple of weeks or so.

I have managed to isolate the problem by pulling out one of the 30 amp fuses. This allows all other electric to be on, as soon as I plug this fuse in the unit trips again.

this fuse powers a certain ring on wall sockets the ground floor, on pervious occasions leaving it a few hours seems to resolve the problem.

any ideas why this could be happening. To a layman it would seem to me that the ring is overheating, can this even happen?

I have tried different fuses and it still trips so I know it's not a fuse problem....

help!!!!!

Hi, you have done the first part of the investigation a spark would do but to do the next stage you will need a tester costing about ÂŁ350 upwards and the knowledge/experience to use it.

Your best course of action is to locate a local competent spark and get them to do some tests..

Hope this helps
