Hi guys, can anyone point me in the right direction? I am struggling to find a metal IP rated Adaptable box approx 5" x 5" x 2". I can find adaptable boxes in metal which would be a struggle to waterproof and I can find the plastic IP rated boxes but no combination of the 2.

Also I am wanting to tidy up my CU installations a bit more, and have been looking at Bootlace Ferrules. Does anyone else use them? Do they make a better termination inside a MCB or am I still better just doubling over the existing core?

Cheers

bootlace ferrules are designed for flexible cables, to stop "hairs". theres no point on using them on solid core cables, even though some people insist on it. As long as your terminations are tight, and you give the a little tug, to ensure so, then thats good!

Are you trying to keep the continuity of the SWA going through the box or just need the metal enclosure for additional mechanical protection. If it's just to keep the continuity going then wiska do earth link bars for their boxes and as said above bootlace ferrules are for tri rated cable and fine flexes not really for solid cores.
