Hi All,

I have just been to look at a job where the supply is TT and the water is correctly bonded, and the oil supply is also bonded correctly where it enters the property.
The only thing that is, they have a metal oil tank and the pipework from that tank to the house is metal also and buried in the ground

The oil tank doesn't have an earth rod connected to it. Is it best to drive in an earth rod at the tank and bond the pipe from it?

I'm thinking it should have, but wanted to ask the Guru's on here before pricing it in to any estimates.

Cheers
Billy

Many thanks for your replies.

I just remember many moons ago that I had to earth rod oil tanks for my former employer, and seeing that I haven't done one for a while, just wanted to check.
