Does anyone know if there is a simple circular blanks of various sizes to fit the hole made when removing SWA or conduit from a steel consumer unit casing?

Basically a customer has obtained a new industrial unit, wants all the three phase switchgear isolators removing as only single phase required.

Receivers took every thing of value and there is loads of holes needing to be filled in, I could rivet plates on the inside, just thinking of time and ease of removal for future. There are 10 Distribution boards and approx 15 isolators with holes in.

Cheers

I generally use blind grommits, or on the odd occasion the lids from beza boxes either bolted or superglued on. Once had to remove board cover ,take it to a metal fabricator and have a plate welded on.

Of course blind grommets!!

I think I will have to plate and rivet some of the bigger holes.

Thanks

NIC inspector told us blind grommets are not acceptable as they can be removed without the use of a tool and possibly allow access to live parts.....I'd go with Lenny's suggestion.

Hi There,

Looking at your post I had the same problem a couple of months ago, All I did was use a galv conduit lid, I used M4 nuts and bolts to hold the plate on.

Hope the above helps.

Thanks

Justin...
