Can't see why you would want to but g4s have a lot of contracts at moment, usual rules apply boring work, crediting meters for layabout scum, running around due to no access

Need a pto from dno usually takes couple of hours to show you how to pull a fuse then off you go as a meter engineer.

Yes mate they do have a lot of work but I think they might end up losing it as they are training up there meter readers who have no electrical back ground to go out and do single and three phase exchanges does that not sound like a recipe for disaster two weeks in a training room then out in the field with an engineer . I already know of two accidents one could've been fatal and that's just the tip of the iceberg mate .

In the past, all the then electrical boards used to make use of the older time served electricians, that were coming to the end of there working life, very rare to see a meter fitter under 50 in those day's, unless he was on light duties due to an illness or accident!!

Not like these day's, one week a Tesco shelf stacker the next messing around installing meters, most not having even half a clue of what their doing!! ...lol!!

Exactly what ****es me off, muppets and ex meter readers, brain dead etc etc, people like myself and other decent lads I know being tarred, think a lot companies are realising this though and hesitant with who they take on

Just had a meter fitter turn up to our shop, was pre arranged as obviously power off on machinery. He walked in looked (3 phase) erm!!!!!! um!!!!!!! ooohh can this be moved (pointing to a standard tower pc) yes I said , oh n can that be moved too as it's in the way (points to a small table top file shelf) yes I said, ''erm umm I think we'll erm !!! erm yes i'll have to rebook this for another time.
He just had no idea what to do in my eyes, I was to the point of telling him to bugger off anyway, the meter is there clearly visible wall mounted at head height not in a cupboard and with moving a few small items easy to get to but he was just stumped and clearly didn't want to do it.
If the same lad comes back again i'll tell him to sod off I recon.
