A friend of mine is doing his own house rewire along with his house renovation, I am not involved in any of it. He has been doing it correctly so far, has had instruction and advice from another electrician he knows.
He has just mentioned and shown me his temporary install, his new cu is now located about 6M away from the meter and isolater switch,
He has new 25mm tails running from the isolater switch to his new cu.
Am I right in thinking he needs a lower than 100amp sfcu after th isolater switch and can he run his tails in the 6inch floor space through the joists along to the new cu,
If he fits the tails close together he is just within the 50mm zones for no protection, I said it was to close to call, and I would be thinking of swa cable 25mm2 or running the tails through some metal earthed trunking through the joists
Any advice
