Having a bit of a mental block here..... help appreciated.

Looking at installing 2x 4kWp systems at a domestic property on a single phase supply assuming DNO give the go ahead. One on the barn and on the garage. The systems will be fed into CU's which are fed from the main CU in the house (volt drop etc is ok).
Question is do both systems need to be metered separately at their secondary CU's, where the inverters will be or could they be metered together at the main CU either separately or together?

Yours confused...

thanks for the quick reply.
Yes but wouldn't the meters need to go before their CU's? i.e. between the inverters and the secondary CU's ?

Nope, the total generation meter can go between the main cu / incoming and the dedicated CU's, you just need to ensure that the only thing you are measuring is the output from the Inverters!

It's just a meter like anything else.
