if there is a 3 phase suplply but only single phase meter, does i cosst much for 3 phase meter to be installed..?? do all charge what they want? do i have options?

No idea. But a quick call to the supplier of the premises should get you the info. I usually leave this to the account holder to do. If it's a commercial property just make sure you have your DB mounted with the tails ready to go into the meter.

Last 1 to 3 ph meter change I knew of was less than £100 including Isolator.

theres actualy 2 of the fuses missing and the one that is loaded is an 80A even tho says 100

Hopefully for you (or the customer) they say that there is enough spare capacity on the phases in the area!

ooooo interesting somerset, but lets face it ther will be enough on that 80A fuse o power the lot, just not 3 phase connection...

its the way thy have installed it there is a 3 phase head their with only one fuse in holder then onto single phase meter , then board..

i had taken fuse carriers out and measure voltage and 3 phase defo in there

Have a similar set up in a customers house at the mo. Historically house had 3 phase supply for some unknown reason. DNO have relocated 3 phase head, currently only using a single phase - 100A fuse. Transformer has to be upgraded for 3 phase they say.

Most modern industrial units have this setup, future use of premises and all that, however most will only be metered at single. Saves digging up roads etc, and makes the developers units attractive to a wider range of businesses
