Declan Black

Hi all.
I'm an apprentice electrician and I'm currently at college doing my nvq level 3, as part of one of my assignments I have to produce a method statement for the installation of any electrical work.
I have Searched high and low for a template but I either have to pay for one or they aren't really useable.
is there anyone on here who could provide me with a template or something along them lines?
I will credit and footnote them in my work
cheers.

Hi Declan, they ARE out there on the interweb, and please don't take this the wrong way,but i would imagine part of that assignment was intended to make you research yourself, not just have one handed to you. It will be the variety of examples you will find,as you search, that will allow you to work out principles and advantages,of each, and decide what is the better statement. Good hunting.

Thank you for your advice, I have found a brilliant one to use as a template so it's made my life easier.

This may point you in the right direction, have a bash at compiling one based on an imaginiry job in a location that may have particular requirements, but try an get a handle on a method statement and a risk assessment although he two are sometimes asked for together, a quick google threw this up
  1. A work method statement, sometimes called a "safe system of work", is a document that details the way a work task or process is to be completed. The method statement should outline the hazards involved and include a step by step guide on how to do the job safely.
