Having looked at Metrels' website it looks as if the BetaPAT MI3304 would be more suited. It looks as if it alone has 110v testing capability which would be useful especially in College environment where they could have power tools at that voltage.
I myself use a couple of Seaward Supernova Plus and although the inbuilt transformer makes them heavier it more than makes up in terms of versatility.

Hope this helps.

I've got a MI3304 and needed to use its 110v testing capability recently - and to make it test 110v items it needs to be plugged into a 110v supply. This I found out by ringing Metrel!

This wasn't a problem for me because I had to test a 240v/110v adapter before I tested the lights so I used the customers PSU!

The MI3304 is a good bit of kit but does have one snag - when you're testing items you enter the "description" of the item you're testing. When you've finished you can output the test results to your PC and then export the data to an excel file - however the exported file doesn't include the description so you have to enter them one by one - a little tedious and also means you have to record on paper the item number and description as you go along.

Fingers crossed Metrel will read this thread and also add this feature to the next release!

All that said I like it because its nice and easy to use!
