hello i found your post and seen you had a metrel mi3000 and was wondering if i could as you to help me with a few test procedures

having difficulty used kewteck on my course and now confused with different tester have looked at manual but just want to be sure

could please run through were you connect the leads on this tester dewring tests and what setting to use

1st Ze reading

2nd Zs at db

3rd the two ipf test for prospective fault current earth and neutral


this is how i think ts done

1st test Ze main earth lead out met . green lead to main earth lead line lead to line in and neutral lead to neutral in press test z loop setting

2nd test Zs at db main earth lead back to met green lead to met line lead to line in and neutral lead to neutral in press test z loop setting


3rd ipf [ i think ] green lead to met line lead to line in neutral lead to neutral in press test z line setting


4th ipf green and blue lead combined in neutral in and line lead to line in process test z line setting


i no im asking allot im learning on my own trying to learn this stuff could you please help

If you don't have the CD with the tester call metrel or look in their website for the "detailed" user manual - its not bad.
 
I posted a guide the other day for you Dave - if you don't understand the manual is there anyway you can pop into our office in Leeds? I'll be able to go over some of the functions of the tester and how to connect the leads to carry out different tests.

Alternatively, try Metrel on 01924 245 000 and select option 3. If they're not too busy they should be able to give you some guidance over the phone. I've tried searching for some videos that might be of some help, but to no avail.
