Good to hear Tel, that should outlast you M8, A great bit of kit, I hate my 1700 series tester, seriously thinking of selling it and getting something else.

The metrel 61557 I got from ebay works alright, albeit ocassionally has mad moments (decided no power at RCD on sunday when there clearly was...turned the tester off and on again...all good....might see if it has updateable software...remember something about that....though could also be the batteries getting knackered...hmm worth a try....
Hate the labelling though as clear as mud....considering relabelling the dial to symbols that make more sense (especially on a sunday.....)

We have got loads of Metrels sat in our stores taken out of service a couple of years ago, still work perfectly, just sat they're waiting to come back into service in a emergency!
