Hi, I was wondering has any one had problems with Eterna LED 3 hour maintained emergency exit lights?
Most of my work is inspecting and servicing fire and emergency lighting systems, and carrying out any required replacements or repairs.
Since last march, I have fitted a lot of Eterna LED maintained exit lights, and during the next few months, the maintained side has failed, leaving the fitting basically a non maintained fitting. Theres a test button on the bottom, which still works to test, the link between perm and switched feed is fitted correctly, and the voltages are ok.
I have spoken to another electrician who had the same problem, within a month, with 2 fittings, but a lot of sparks that I know, just install and walk away, and might never be back on the same job, therefore they will never know if these fittings fail. I return to my jobs every 6 or 12 months for inspections, and i'm concerned that i'm going to be failing a lot of my own lights!
Has any of you guys returned to an emergency lighting job and noticed any problems?
Thanks Micky
