What do you guys make of this? There has been for some time lots of info bounding about with regards to Renewable and coming to the end of my Level 3, with very little in the way of full time Sparks was having a Google about for PV Installation.

Anybody have more info as to its merits, potential for Installs in Domestic sector etc? Is it another Boom advertised sector that will become overcrowded or lack of interest from the public/householders.

I haven't read too much into this, have spoken to a guy recently who was a renewable energy assessor. Was looking at the C&G Course for this?

Answers on a postcard chaps...

IMO at the moment the costs of installing a PV system far outweigh the benefits. It is getting better and in a few years I feel it will be a genuine viable option, at the moment there just isn't enough interest or awareness about it.

Also there is a limit on how much you can supply back into the grid, 16A max set by the DNO's. Anymore and you need their approval which no doubt will be costly also the size of the array you would need to generate a constant average of above 16A would be huge = expensive.

This is an anecdote from my 2391 tutor.

His friend was first out of the gates onto it!. made an absolute killing in the first year. Even bought himself a boat!.

Done all his friends and families houses, now he has no friends and doesn’t answer the phone due to the fact that every time he does it is someone complaining about how carp it is.
On the other hand,
If you have spare cash I think it would be worth studying because like all things it will get better.
