micromark microscan 240 Mkii

Please can anyone suggest where I can buy micromark microscan 240 mkii sensors?

It's the small domed sensor fitted to many PIR lanterns, despite an extensive googling last night I came up blank.

I have a customer who wants to keep their original lights and wants me to just replace the faulty sensors within them

Probably more hassle than the lights are worth!
I do not know where to get the units you specify (I had looked before to no avail) but would it be possible to get a different light and transfer the controls to the old light?
Alternatively you may be able to just replace the sensor with a similar unit if that is what has gone.

I'd just fit a separate new PIR, personally, if they were that keen on keeping the old housing. But with whole new units available for £10-£15, is it ever worth it????

Pretty sure micromark was the wholesaler BDC's own branded stuff, they went under about 2008 unfortunately so I think your out of look unless ebay has something to offer

eBay was the first place I checked, I always find if something is out there then someone will be selling it on eBay

So it's looking like new lanterns for the old dear

It's all very well suggesting that it's just as cheap to fit a new Lamp - mine is Antique Bronze, and will cost £40 for the current version, which presumably will have a similar to micromark - rubbish pir which will fail in a few years also. Without wishing to evangelise, I think it makes more sense to repair expensive stuff if possible, rather than to replace as a blanket policy.
