Afternoon all,
I've got an external bulkhead light to fit for someone, Basically they want it on some sort of motion detector, But something discreet. So I had a look at something like this to go inside the fitting (room permitting)

Kanlux Rolf Indoor Plastic 360 9M Microwave Motion Sensor Detector IP20 1200W White - 08820

Has anyone tried anything similar? or got any other ideas?

Oh yeah, I did suggest the customer buys a bulkhead with built in PIR, But that would be to easy. This is the fitting they are using
BULAN GRID INTALITE UK

I suggested something like that Spoon, the customer wasn't overly keen although it was more favourable than the standard external sensor...
Murdoch- she's already bought the fitting, I was looking at trying to get a sensor to go inside the light so it would be similar to your link

It should work OK if you can get it to fit and not melt inside the fitting.
You will be tight for space so perhaps use something like LED golf ball lamps to give you more room to fit the sensor.
Try and ensure the sensor is not looking at the aluminum bars only at the polycarbonate diffuser.
Certainly far more effort to do this than to get the right fitting in the first place but if it takes you another hour to fir that is more money for you.
