Called out to install a 3ph inverter for cetrifugal fan on friday , new build industrial unit with hand over at 11am yesterday. Fed from local fcu. Lock up at 3pm on friday, kicked off site, so had to go back yesterday to final connect and test. All done niceley in adaptaflex by 10am. Something on my mind after lunch and then realized what it was. Two hours wasted on return journey....to trim seven cable ties. Must be getting on a bit:32:

well....its the sense of pride in your work that makes up for it though.....i`m sure theres many that would have just thought...sod it....not going back just for a few ties...

Hope you trimmed em flush and not with a tiny bit of "skin tearer" sticking out like most electricians seem to do...

OK it shows pride in your work.

Could be worse, sat having a cup of tea sfter swapping a switchboard, and the doubt set in, did I crimp the last lug on? Took the cover off the incomer, two nicely crimped lugs, one still perfectly round. What made it worse, I’d put heat shrink on the bloody thing and never even noticed. It was carrying about 150A when I had to shut the plant down to put it right.

I was looking for the telephone directory to stuff down the back of my pants!

Believe me, they would have noticed! Can't compare with that one though.
That doubt factor can be a wierd and uncanny feeling, eh!

I've had an occasion to go back to a plant room to reset something I'd forgotten about earlier in the day. They say to err is human but to err like that is probably the most annoying thing I've ever known.
