Hi people. I was just wondering if any of the people on here are into Minecraft?
Personally I love the game. I've only been playing for just under 2 years. Got it on PC and PS3. I love some of the builds that people have done and some of the redstone stuff is fantastic.
Anyone a redstone geek?
I know q few of the guys at work who hate it. Keep saying that their kids are playing it all the time or watching it on Youtube. They look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them that I do that as well.

My son loves it and I play it with him on the Xbox at times!

i also have a mate who's right into it as well! I love watching the YouTube videos of all the builds, some of it is amazing! We try and make houses etc but nothing like the guys online, love the football stadiums etc must take forever!

Play with my boys sometime but they make me look stupid. Really impressed with some of the stuff they build, they're only 8 and 10. Have managed to download a load of maps for them that other people have done. Took me about 2 hours the first time but can do it in 5 minutes now which keeps them happy.

Didnt know you could do that? What computer is that for?

I think firemanowl is talking about downloading worlds or schematics. Schematics are parts of worlds, like a bridge, lighthouse and the likes that you can add to your world. You can only do this on the PC.
There are a quite few sites out there and there are lots of videos on how to do it on YouTube. I use planetminecraft.
To add the schematics you also need MCEdit. A great bit of kit that is free to download. Again for the PC.

Hellmooth. If you have created an account and paid for Minecraft when you added it to Xbox you can also install it on your PC for free. Once you have created an account you can add it to whatever you want. We have it on our PS3, a tablet and 3 PC's.
For ÂŁ13 you can't go wrong.

When wiring a building in Minecraft do you need to be part P registered ?

haha. depends on the room.... If you don't get the proper documentation then creepers remove the wiring.... and the room.

You can download entire maps, I do it mostly on the Xbox. They are entire maps that people who have too much time on their hands have made. Have a search for Harry Potter Xbox 360 map on you tube, a good effort. Once the the maps are on the Xbox they then play on them just like they've built it themselves.

Only ever downloaded maps and schematics for the PC. Never even thought of looking for a PS3 world map. I know what I'm doing when I finish work in 30 mins....

Not sure about PS3, but have a look on YouTube there will be a vid of how to do it. Downloaded a Star Wars one which has all the ships, Death Star etc. Not got a clue how the hell they do it but have fun playing on it.

There are web sites for downloading worlds for PS3. Told my lad about it, he didn't seem that bothered. He's into Terraria at the moment.

I started this thread 5 days ago and I must admit that I'm surprised no one have said posted that they are a red stone genius.

I'm not but kids are brilliant. Some of the stuff they show me they've done is top drawer. Not got a clue how they do half of it but they have fun. They come and go with terraria depending on what their mates are playing.

I have watches a lot of red stone videos on YouTube. Then again it doesn't have to be red stone. I really like some of the 'only one command' videos. Some people must have lots of spare time.
